I also have a similar ritual. But I think it is more for comfort (I have anxiety) and discipline. I have 5 games on my iPad (including a jigsaw) that I play every morning and every evening. Each one teaches me something - new words, patience, scrutiny. But I now realize, due to your lovely writing, that all of them give me a chance to make order out of chaos, something we are severely lacking in our world today.
